Project Victory and USA Cares have joined together to provide clinical care and financial support for OND/OIF/OEF service members and veterans who have been diagnosed with or have screened positive for a traumatic brain injury, mild brain injury, or post concussive syndrome.

Project Victory can assist accepted candidates in applying for the USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today program. USA Cares will assist in housing, food, utilities and transportation related costs as required.

If you require financial assistance, please notify a Project Victory staff member prior to coming to Houston. A staff member can provide contact information for a USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today program representative.

If funding for food and essential items is required for your stay in Houston, Project Victory and USA Cares staff will work together to assist in weekly budgeting. Gift cards will be sent to the Project Victory staff so that weekly budgeting and meal planning assistance can be provided. Receipts for the spent funds will be collected by Project Victory staff and forwarded to USA Cares representatives.

Qualifying elements for the Warrior Treatment Today program are the following:

• Injury is connected to service in Iraq or Afghanistan
• Service member has been diagnosed by competent medical authorities, either military or civilian
• Employment and income loss is not covered by medical or unemployment insurance
• Family will be in danger of losing their home if they don’t receive assistance
• Service member has been accepted into qualifying treatment center for recovery and rehabilitation
